Rural landscapes: the wintery autumn drive
FALL IN THE FOOTHILLS, NEAR BLACK DIAMOND, ALBERTA
I was blessed to find time to drive through this wonderful landscape just a few days after a significant autumn snowfall. It was hard to make a bad picture that morning. 🙂
There was very little significant colour in this scene, so I turned everything but the farm buildings into black-and-white. Love how Photoshop makes this kind of thing so possible.

Hallo Frank,
zu erst bedauere ich sehr, dass es seit mehr al ein Jahr, so glaube ich, Google + nicht mehr existiert. Das war, meiner Meinung nach, die größte Dummheit von Google, weil deswegen ich persönlich nicht mehr deine Meinung erfahre, worüber ich geschrieben hatte. Damit musste ich mich abfinden, leider. Nun komme ich zu meiner Meinung über dieses Foto. Was mir ganz besonders schön aufgefallen ist, ist der Kontrast zwischen der weißen Umgebung, durch das Fallen vom Schnee, und den rot gefärbten Gebäuden in dem aufgenommenen Foto. Ich bitte um Entschuldigung, wenn ich mich rein technisch über diese Aufnahme nicht richtig ausdrücken kannst. Ich hoffe, trotzdem, dass du begreifst, wo ich hinauf kommen möchte. Wie immer ist es eine wahre Freude, deine Fotos zu bewundern.

What particularly struck me is the contrast between the white surroundings, caused by the falling snow, and the red colored buildings in the photo taken. I apologize if I cannot express myself technically correctly about this recording. I hope, anyway, that you understand where I want to go. As always, it is a real pleasure to admire your photos.
