Rural landscapes: is fishing better at sunset?


It was a stunning Great Lakes summer sunset, but beyond that what I hope makes this a compelling image are all the silhouetted people, many of them casting a line to see what might bite. Surprisingly, there wasn’t a lot of colour in this scene (that came a little later; here’s the evidence:, so I went monotone to increase the sense of drama.
