Natural landscapes: when the sand catches the light

SUNSET LIGHT ON TONQUIN PARK BEACH, TOFINO, BRITISH COLUMBIA

I love photographing natural abstract patterns. So when I saw how the evening light was catching the pattern made by water flowing through the beach to the Pacific Ocean on the west coast of Vancouver Island, I immediately went to work to capture it.
These little scenes are simply amazing, to my eyes. Nikon D7100, tripod, polarizing filter.

  1. Fantastic capture Frank! Easy to forget that shadows make an image. The light is beautiful but the shadows make it stand out. Wonderful!
