Princes Island, on the northern downtown border of this western Canadian city, is a great place to see waterfowl year-round. After photographing some of the downtown skyscrapers, I wandered into the park and encountered these silhouetted ducks. Loving the strong shapes (especially the mallard on the right), I went for a high-contrast picture to show you. Nikon D7100, tripod, 70-300 mm telephoto zoom lens
