Natural landscapes: when winter & spring battle

BIG HILL SPRINGS PROVINCIAL PARK, ALBERTA

Photos like this are often a challenge because the snow is so, so much brighter than the land. As a result, it’s often difficult to keep some detail in the snow while trying to expose for the rest of the landscape.
I think I did alright here, going for a long exposure to soften the creek.
Nikon D7100, tripod, polarizing filter, neutral density (darkening) filter
