Rural landscapes: spring at 3,000 feet
SPRING POND WEST OF CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA
When you live more than 1,000 metres above sea level, spring scenes like this are common. While some may grumble, I like the photo possibilities, especially when using a graduated density (darkening) filter on the sky. Nikon D7100, tripod, polarizing filter.

lovely photo, its too early for snow, we are trying to forget it for a while
Well, it’s not a question of early, it’s a question of late. 🙂
Nice one Frank. I can feel the peace and hear the silence.
Thanks, Andy. Photographing snowy spring sunrises is one of my favourite activities. 🙂
Just the hint of colour adds so much to a ‘wintry’ looking image
