FARMSTEAD IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN FOOTHILLS, NEAR STAVELY, ALBERTA
How’s this for living in a dramatic landscape? I used a big telephoto lens to exaggerate the effect, squeezing the homestead against the hills and coulees behind it. There was almost no colour in this scene, so it was an easy decision to go black-and-white – which also heightened the drama. Nikon D7100, tripod, polarizing filter, 70-300-mm zoom lens
