Natural landscapes: the epic plunge

NIAGARA FALLS, GOLDSTREAM
PROVINCIAL PARK, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Yes, there is another Niagara Falls in Canada. Very weird, right? Either way, you’re just looking at the bottom section of this waterfall’s 47-metre (almost 160 feet) plunge into a small, but deep pool in the midst of Vancouver Island’s glorious temperate rainforest.
While I was there, a couple plunged into the pool’s icy cold water just long enough to get selfies with the waterfall behind them. I didn’t join them, being quite content to appreciate the scene from a photographic perspective.
