Natural landsdscapes: me and the mountains

UPPER KANANASKIS LAKE, PETER LOUGHEED PROVINCIAL PARK, ALBERTA

This lake (which is really a reservoir) heralds some of the most gobsmacking views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Alberta. The mysterious and amazing thing is the lake is mostly still almost every time I visit, making for remarkable reflection photos like this.
I wanted to do something different with this often-photographed scene, so I used the timer on my camera and ran to the boulder to add a human element. I kept me in colour and made the rest of the photo black-and-white, just to add further interest.
Nikon D7100, tripod, graduated density (darkening) filter on the peaks and sky
