Natural landscapes: the arrival of dawn

SUNRISE AT VERMILION LAKES,
BANFF NATIONAL PARK, ALBERTA

There’s always some open water here, no matter how cold the temperature, so it’s very popular sunrise photography locale.
On this day, there were at least three other folks with cameras, each of us jockeying for a spot. I liked this viewpoint because there’s lot of attractive foreground elements. The peaks you’re looking at are Mount Rundle and Sulphur Mountain.
