Natural landscapes: the intimate world

WILD GRASSES, KOOTENAY NATIONAL PARK, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Following up on a challenge from my wife to photograph something different than my usual landscapes, I scanned a field of wild mountain grass until seeing how one gently sloping sprout was beautifully illuminated.
From there it was a matter of deciding how much I wanted in focus. I think the results are pretty decent. Agree?
Nikon D7100, tripod, 70-300 mm zoom lens
