Urban landscapes: the long-exposure commute

LIGHT TRAILS IN THE EMERGING DAWN, COCHRANE, ALBERTA

I knew the approaches to this western Canadian town would make for excellent light trail pictures, especially with the Canadian Rocky Mountains along the horizon. So I found this spot in -20c temperatures and made pictures like this. Eight seconds captured morning rush hour traffic.
