Natural landscapes: welcome to spring!

COTTONWOOD TREES AND SNOW, CALGARY, ALBERTA

Spring is usually brief and intermittent in this western Canadian city and, as much as I’m ready for the end of winter, a six-inch March snowfall still inspired a visit to Bowness Park to search for images.
I like this one; it’s quiet and almost abstract. Definitely not a calendar photo that will garner a huge reaction from most people. Indeed, I created a black-and-white version for you because the colour version is almost colourless.
