Natural landscapes: the sliver of winter light

SNOWY TREES ON A COLD MORNING, BANFF NATIONAL PARK

The light was hitting just right — and just for a few minutes — on this baby tree in the midst of a Rocky Mountain forest. Seeing the opportunity to isolate it against a complementary background, I quickly set up my equipment and captured it before the sun moved and took the light with it.
