Natural landscapes: spring-fed beauty
SUMMER GLORY AT BIG HILL SPRINGS PROVINCIAL PARK, ALBERTA, CANADA
Just a half-hour’s drive from my home in Calgary, this wonderful little park protects a spring that tumbles over about a dozen waterfalls. It’s quite busy on weekend afternoons, so it’s great to show up at or near sunrise, find photographic gems like this, and be gone before the crowds arrive. (Here’s another photogenic Big Hill Springs waterfall: http://wp.me/p2ccTX-rg). Nikon D7100, tripod, polarizing filter.

really nice waterfall. Jim
Thanks for the kind words, Jim. 🙂
Love this spot! It does get pretty busy sometimes, though – it’s nice to have it to yourself!
I can almost feel the whoosh as the water rushes by!
