Rural landscapes: under the threatening sky
CANOLA FIELD AND STORM SKY, NEAR CALGARY, ALBERTA
Sometimes I have to pinch myself to fully believe that I live just 10 minutes’ drive from epic, iconic western Canadian landscapes like this. Every July I go on a ‘canola hunt’ as field of brilliant yellow provide all kinds of stunning photo opportunities like this.
Nikon D7100, tripod, polarizing filter, graduated density (darkening) filter on the sky.

That one is a beauty Frank. Wouldn’t it look stunning if it was say, 4 ft X 6 ft.!!?
Wow! This is a wonderful shot! I love the way you off-centered the road. My eye just follows the dotted line. Well done, Frank.
Love the “big sky” feel of this one, Frank. Great work!
