SUNRISE ON THE SLOUGH, NEAR BEISEKER, ALBERTA
On the same trip that produced this picture (http://wp.me/p2ccTX-kF), I found a pond along the country road in the glorious prairies of Alberta, Canada. A two-stop, hard-edge graduated density (darkening) filter, used from the horizon to the top of the photo, was vital to darken the highlights and allow for some detail in the darker areas of the photo.
Nikon D90, tripod, enhancing filter (to emphasize the reds).

Fantastic. The rising mist makes all the difference.
Thanks for looking and for your kind comment, Carlos. 🙂
So many things working here! Beautiful image Frank.
Thanks, pal. The enhancing filter added just a touch more colour to make everything work. 🙂
