Natural landscapes: a swim at dawn
GRICE BAY, PACIFIC RIM NATIONAL PARK, BRITISH COLUMBIA
This park, on the west coast of Canada’s Vancouver Island, is awash in glorious photo opportunities. This is one of the inland bays and a great spot to capture dawn. Especially when a pair of waterfowl glide through the scene. I just waited ’til they reached the most pleasing location in the scene, then made the photo.
Nikon D7100, tripod, enhancing filter.

Gorgeous shots! We are looking forward to a trip to vancouver island this summer- might have to add this region to the itinerary.
Thanks for the kind comment, Lindsay. 🙂
A wonderful mellow photo–love the curvy lines–and a beautiful moment on Vancouver Island.
Thanks! Any sunrise in Pacific Rim National Park tends to be a stunner. 🙂
A beautiful, peaceful scene. I love the soft light and tones and the perfect reflection…and the ducks are a nice touch! 🙂
Thanks, Susan. Hard to make bad pictures in such an amazing place. 🙂
You know I love the reflections… 🙂 Great colours.
