Natural landscapes: light in the forest

CATHEDRAL GROVE, MACMILLAN PROVINCIAL PARK, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Canada rainforest British Columbia

This epic old-growth rainforest is a highlight for anyone driving across Vancouver Island on Canada’s west coast. I usually prefer to make photos here when it’s overcast (soft, even light is ideal for forest photography), but this afternoon light made for some memorable compositions. Nikon D7100, tripod, polarizing filter.
