Natural landscapes: island amongst the peaks
MOUNT SARRAIL & UPPER KANANASKIS LAKE, PETER LOUGHEED PROVINCIAL PARK, ALBERTA
I’m amazed and grateful at how often I’ve visited this glorious spot, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and found the water glassy still. On this morning, it took some time for the water to still but, as you can tell, the wait was oh-so-worth it. Nikon D7100, tripod, graduated density (darkening) filter on the peaks and sky.

Beautiful image FRank, definitely worth the wit for the still waters. I love the composition of including the tree covered island rather than a straight up reflection image. Well done.
Thanks for the kind words, Mike. I first visited this viewpoint in February and knew it would make a viable summer photo without all the ice and snow. 🙂
truly amazing Frank. Beautiful.
