Wildlife: the grand pollinator
FIREWEED AND BUMBLEBEE, PETER LOUGHEED PROVINCIAL PARK, ALBERTA
Fireweed is always a good photo subject and it’s even better when a bumblebee shows up in the middle of the shoot. I used a flash on this scene to highlight the flower and keep the background darker. This park, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, is named after one of Alberta’s most popular politicians (yes, a politician can leave a positive legacy). Nikon D7100, tripod, polarizing filter.
