Rural landscapes: behemoths at rest

CARNIVAL CRUISE SHIP, ROATAN, HONDURAS

Our cruise ship, the Regal Princess, was parked just a short distance in front of the Carnival ship. That made it possible to go to the top of the Princess and make pictures like this one, captured in afternoon sun.
Roatán is about 65 kilometres off the northern coast of Honduras. The largest of the Bay Islands of Honduras, it is approximately 60 kilometres long, and less than eight kilometres across at its widest point. We enjoyed a great day at one of Roatan’s beaches.
