Natural landscapes: the glorious sunrise viewpoint

I was up ridiculously early to reach this sublime western Canadian viewpoint in the first light of a sunny mountain day. There wasn’t a lot of colour in this scene, so it was an easy decision to go monotone (and heighten the visual drama). That’s the Athabasca River flowing through the picture.
