Urban landscapes: savouring the sunset

DUSK LIGHT, VICTORIA HARBOUR, BRITISH COLUMBIA

My wife & I spent several wonderful days in the capital city of this western Canadian province. One evening, I ventured out with the photography equipment and found exquisite scenery like this. It was hard to make a bad picture in such conditions. A five-second exposure was needed to properly capture the gorgeous dusk.
Named for Queen Victoria, this city — on the southern tip of Vancouver Island — is the seventh most densely populated city in Canada with 4,406 inhabitants per square kilometre.
