Natural landscapes: morning glory!

SUNRISE LIGHT, BANFF NATIONAL PARK, ALBERTA

Herbert Lake, near Lake Louise, offers amazing views of the the peaks to the west. The best time to photograph this is early morning, so I arrived when the lake was still in shadow and a fine film of mist still floated above the water.
Definitely worth getting up super-early and driving 2.5 hours from my Calgary home. Here’s the colour version: https://bit.ly/3U2Pr3Z
Nikon D7100, tripod, 24-120 mm. zoom lens, graduated density (darkening) filter on the sky and peaks, polarizing filter
