Rural landscapes: a morning under the clouds

HAYROLLS AND SUMMER SKY, FOOTHILLS COUNTY, ALBERTA

The epic sky was an ideal opportunity to use my super wide-angle lens; all I needed to do was find an appropriate landscape to complement it. I saw this hay field from a hill several kilometres away and knew it would work. Was I right?
PS: notice how the grain bins and tree serve to bookend the scene?
Nikon D7100, tripod, 10-20 mm. wide-angle zoom lens, polarizing filter, graduated density (darkening) filter on the sky
